Example:
Let’s say we need to calculate the flow rate of a screw conveyor with a diameter of 0.5 meters and a pitch of 0.3 meters, operating at 120 RPM, with a loading ratio of 0.7, loose material density of 800 kg/m^3, and an inclination factor of 1.2.
Using the formula above, we have:
Q = 60 * pi/4 * D^2 * S * N * a * d * C
Q = 60 * 3.14/4 * 0.5^2 * 0.3 * 120 * 0.7 * 800 * 1.2
Q = 47664 kg/hr
Therefore, the flow rate of this screw conveyor is 47664 kg/hr.
